Southern California Industrial Real Estate Market Heats Up: Vacancy Rates at Historical Low The industrial real estate market in Southern California has remained unusually tight in the first three months of 2022, owing to global supply chain challenges and rising consumer demand. Whereas vacancy, average asking rents, and construction achieved new highs following the greatest year of market fundamentals in the Inland Empire’s history.

University of California Riverside Opens RNA Biology and Technology Center Recognizing the importance of RNA in modern biology and biomedicine, the University of California Riverside will establish the Center for RNA Biology and Medicine, which houses more than 30 researchers from across campus. The center’s director is Sika Zheng, an associate professor of biomedical sciences at the School of Medicine.

Redlands City Council Approves Mixed-Use Facility: 700 apartments, condos, restaurants, and More Redlands City Council voted to develop a new project in place of Redlands Mall. The Redlands Mall project was reviewed for five hours Tuesday night at a special combined meeting of the Redlands City Council and the Planning Commission. Both committees overwhelmingly opted to move forward with the redevelopment of the mall.

Downtown Ontario Continues Redevelopment: Opens Four-Level C-Block Parking Structure The C-Block Parking Structure is a new four-level tower. Including roof parking with approximately 400 parking spots and eight Tesla Motor Superchargers, it is located on the northwest corner of C Street and Lemon Avenue. The building is part of Downtown Ontario’s ongoing redevelopment.

The construction of the C-Block Parking Structure was started on May 17, 2021, and is now completed in Spring 2022. This unique C-Block parking building has now opened its doors to the public.

The City of Ontario added 17 electric vehicles (EV) charging stations at the Downtown parking structure, including eight Tesla Superchargers.

The City of Riverside Nabs Excellence Award from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) honored Riverside’s PACT project with the 2022 Sustainability Award. The City of Riverside PACT is a four-part strategy to create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable transportation network.

The Southern California Association of Governments has named seven innovative initiatives winners of the 2022 Sustainability Awards, including public-private cooperation to develop battery-electric freight transportation (SCAG). The City of Riverside, for its PACT project, is one of seven 2022 honorees.

Esri now Lets you Bring your Geospatial Data into Unreal Engine: Releases ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine 5

ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine is a plugin developed by Esri that enables access to real-world maps and 3D content from the ArcGIS Platform. Esri launched a plugin named ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unreal Engine. This plugin allows users to access real-world maps and 3D material from the ArcGIS Platform. In it, you can find examples, Blueprints, a Modes Panel UI, Components, and an API for creating interactive, lifelike 3D and XR geographic experiences.
