SoCal Supply Chain Meetup Group by The Worldwide Supply Chain Federation

The Worldwide Supply Chain Federation (WSFF) is an international organization that provides collaboration, education, and leadership opportunities to professionals in the supply chain industry. The Worldwide Supply Chain Federation launched a West Coast branch, The SoCal Supply Chain Meetup group (#TSCSCM), to unite supply chain experts, technologists, startup founders, and other innovators across Southern California. 

SBDC Starts – A Four-Week Startup Series by the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center

The Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network is a government-funded organization designed to help entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire to start, run and grow their small businesses. It is now launching a new program called SBDC Starts which will provide a four-week startup series program to small businesses in the Inland Empire.

Disney Chooses Coachella Valley for its Residential Community Project

Disney is moving into the business of building theme-based residential communities it calls ‘Storyliving,’ a concept-based community that can make you feel as close as possible to living in a Disney story. It will have houses in various styles, but all communities will be based on themes such as “nature,” “fantasy,” or “heritage.” Coachella Valley will become the first place in the country to have a Storyliving community. It is named as Cotino.

Caravanserai Project Becomes Part of $35M California Dream Fund

Senate Bill No. 151 (Government Code Section 12100.63) established the California Dream Fund Grant Program (CDFG or Dream Fund) in 2021 to provide micro-grants of up to $10,000 to seed entrepreneurship and small business creation in underprivileged small biz groups that are facing capital and disparities. 

The California Dream Fund Program, worth $35 million, awards microgrants of up to $10,000 to foster the establishment of small businesses and entrepreneurship in the state. Child care, service, cottage food, green technology, retail, and manufacturing will be areas of concentration.

The Riverside County Microbusiness Covid-19 Relief Grant Program

The Riverside County Microbusiness Covid-19 Relief Grant Program (MCG) is an initiative for small business owners hardest hit by the loss of business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program allows micro-businesses to receive a grant of up to $2,500. The grant funds are not meant to be used as a replacement or supplement to other unsecured loans or credit lines.

Cancer Treatment Center ‘City of Hope’ Comes to the City of Corona

The City of Hope is a biomedical research and treatment center for cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute, it is one of only 47 such centers nationwide. The city of Hope announced on February 7 it will establish its largest clinical network site to date. The new center is one of the City of Hope’s clinical networks in Southern California, including more than 35 locations.
