The Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network is a government-funded organization designed to help entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire to start, run and grow their small businesses.

The Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC) is the public sector’s leading source of business counseling, technical assistance, and training for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Founded in 1979, the SBDC provides free, unbiased business advice and resources to help entrepreneurs succeed.
With millions of dollars in federal funds dedicated to advancing economic development through the SBDC network, California’s SBDC is helping thousands of startups from every corner of the state. The program’s services include mentoring, advising, and networking for all stages of startup growth, free access to a wide range of resources, and the introduction of new technologies that can help startups grow.
The SBDC network comprises over 500 service locations across the country. The California SBDC has six regional offices located throughout the state.
California’s SBDC serves more than 36 counties in Southern California and additional areas.

A program like this can come in handy for any small business, but it could particularly benefit those that are just starting:

SBDC Starts – Class Schedules:
You will obtain the knowledge and abilities to establish your own business in just four weeks!
Classes will be conducted every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from March 5 to 26.
Class One | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5
Things you’ll learn in this are:
- Planning for Feasibility
- Tactics to building an Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Market and Industry Analysis (Competition Analysis, Market Analysis, and Planning)
- Permits and Licensing
- Strategic Business Planning
Class Two | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12
Things you’ll learn in this are as follows:
- Digital Marketing
- Advertising
Class Three | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19
Things you’ll learn in this are as follows:
- Financial Management
- Financials and Projections
Class Four | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26
Things you’ll learn in this are as follows:
- Accounting and Accounting Systems
- Financial Literacy
- Access to Capital
Pro Opportunity:
You’ll also be able to schedule a virtual, one-on-one session with a business consultant to discuss facts specific to your company.
It is a “MUST-DO” that you register for the program to attend the classes.

Inland Empire State of Entrepreneurship Report 2021: The report reveals that the ‘Inland Empire lags overall in creating opportunity-based firms. Since 2018, the Inland Empire has been primarily driven by necessity entrepreneurship, as opportunity entrepreneurship has continuously declined during the period of 2018 – 2020; in 2020-2021, this downward trend continued.
SBDC’s Webinar Series to help Small Businesses Do Business with DGS: SBDC will be holding a series of webinars for small businesses to become certified to do business with the Department of General Services (DGS). This three-week series will be hosted every Wednesday, January 12-26, from 1-2 PM.
