The Coachella Valley Fast-Pitch Event(s) will be held during Riverside County Innovation Month 2022, hosted at the College of the Desert Indio Campus. These events are designed to highlight the entrepreneurial work being done throughout the region and promote economic development in the Coachella Valley.

During the event, business leaders & entrepreneurs will give a brief fast-pitch presentation about their products or services, followed by a Q&A from judges. After each round of presentations, judges will select a winner who will receive a cash prize and other valuable resources.

This event is free to attend. However, space is limited, so register today!

Businesses interested in pitching at this event should complete an application form by March 25.

Participating Guidelines:

There are specific guidelines for those who’d like to participate in this event. So, to compete in the Regional Fast Pitch Events for Innovation Month in April 2022, you must:

  • Have a startup in Riverside County with a proven commercial presence.
  • Have a minimum viable product with sales or early funding (less than $1 million raised to date, excluding grant funding).
  • To pitch in a Regional Fast Pitch Event panel, submit an application.
  • For the Regional Fast Pitch Events, provide a 5-minute Fast Pitch.
  • Provide a pitch deck before the event; PowerPoint slides are permitted, but not after the 5-minute mark in your presentation.
  • The judges will be available for questions, but responses must be limited to 1 minute per response and a total of 5 minutes.

The Coachella Valley Fast Pitch competition winners are chosen by a panel of four judges and a fifth judge: the crowd. Audience members are more than just observers; they also play a role in determining who advances to the Fast Pitch Finale, where they will compete for thousands of dollars in prizes.

Winners of the Regional Riverside County Innovation Month Fast Pitch Events in April 2022 will be given a chance to pitch at the County Finale on April 27, 2022, in Temecula. Each regional Fast Pitch Event will send one participant to the County Finale. Additionally, two Epic SBDC nominees will compete in the County Finale.
