IE Universities Bullish about Business Education
This week we covered how four Inland Empire universities are betting big time on their business schools, from UC Riverside and CSUSB to the University of La Verne to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
In a related story, we covered the news about the University of La Verne’s new business school in Ontario. Per details, the University struck a land-swapping deal with The City Council of Ontario to make a business school in Ontario, CA. The business school will be called the “Randall Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Social Impact.”
A Different Workforce
We reported that the JVS group had secured a $1 million grant from the US Department of Education to develop a water/wastewater workforce program within the Inland Empire. It will fund paid internships offered by The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) under the program called IEWorks.
