$120 Million in Business Tax Credits and Grants Available with CalCompetes Governor Newsom extended the California Competes Grant Program (CCGP) and California Compete Tax Credit (CCTC) for the Fiscal Year 2022/2023. $120 million in business tax credits and grants are available through the CalCompetes program. It is possible for any company to apply for the California Competes Tax Benefit, an income tax credit for companies wishing to relocate to, expand within, or remain in California.

Workshop for Jurupa Valley Residents and Non-profits on the Community Development Block Grant Program The City of Jurupa Valley receives annual funding of between $1.2 and $1.3 million from the CDBG program to carry out housing initiatives, social services, and infrastructure projects. Everyone is invited to this year’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 101 Workshop. It will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall on January 12 at 6:00 p.m. The city is currently seeking applications for Public Service Grants for the 2023-2024 fiscal year from eligible, tax-exempt non-profit organizations that provide or plan to provide qualified CDBG services within the city.
Rexford Industrial’s Inland Empire Acquisitions Spree Rexford Industrial Realty, located throughout infill Southern California, announced the acquisition of ten industrial properties for $336.2 million. Rexford Industrial invests in operating and redeveloping industrial properties throughout infill Southern California, the world’s fourth-largest industrial market. The industrial property group also acquired several properties in the Inland Empire, including 755 Trademark Circle in Corona.
Hydrogen Hub Grants in California California Gov. Gavin Newsom has established a broad statewide alliance to apply for a stake of $7 billion in federal grants earmarked for national hydrogen hubs. Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES) is a nonprofit public-private partnership by GO-Biz, the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. ARCHES will serve as a one-window operation to work on a hydrogen hub application to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy.
Swickard Auto Group Purchases John Elway’s Crown Toyota for $40M with TFS Loan Swickard Auto Group has acquired John Elway’s Crown Toyota dealership in Southern California for $40 million from EP Properties. The acquisition was financed by a $42.4 million loan from Toyota Financial Services (TFS). The dealership occupies 22.8 acres and has three buildings totaling 171,903 square feet. It is located in the City of Ontario, California, and was constructed in 1989.
