Lock-Dawson cited the city’s assistance with infrastructure and public safety initiatives, including the paving of nearly 25 miles of roads last year, the installation of roughly 160,000 square feet of new sidewalks, the filling of 127,000 square feet of potholes, and the trimming of more than 18,000 street trees.
A $300M private investment from the sci-fi company will deploy 9 million feet (almost 2000 miles ) of high-speed fiber internet citywide. This mission will bring broadband to every doorstep in Riverside to bridge the digital divide and dramatically increase the internet’s speed in neighborhoods and businesses.
