Indeed Flex is an online marketplace for flexible and temporary labor owned by Indeed.com. It announced the expansion of operations in California on September 14, 2022, to enable more resources for job seekers and workers.Β

Key Takeaway:

  • Indeed Flex is a recruitment platform enabling job seekers and employers. It was formerly known as Syft before Indeed acquired it.

We Covered this in our Weekly Wire Roundup

Indeed Acquired Recruiting Platform Syft

In the UK, Syft was a top platform for hiring in the hospitality, events, and light industrial sectors. On May 30, 2019, Indeed, the leading employment site in the world, announced that it had signed a contract to purchase Syft. After the acquisition, Syft was named Indeed Flex.

What’s Indeed Flex?

A digital staffing network called Indeed Flex gives job searchers the easiest method to locate temporary employment that suits their schedules. With only a few taps of an app, Indeed Flex enables users to obtain temporary jobs. It allows you to work when and where you wish.

More than 6,000 businesses and 50,000 job seekers worldwide have already signed up for the site, which is a member of the Indeed family.

Employers can swiftly fill in absent employees and scale up their teams during busy times. Thanks to Indeed Flex’s fast access to a high-quality, verified workforce and flexible staffing options, it brings hope for Californians.

Expanding in California Counties

Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County residents may now access the tech-first staffing platform, which Indeed purchased in 2019, along with companies throughout the state.

“Indeed Flex gives job seekers more control, ownership, and choice, and provides a ready pool of qualified workers for local employers, making it easier for them to cover staff absences or to ramp up their team during busy periods.”

~ Said Stacey Lane, US General Manager at Indeed Flex

Through a user-friendly mobile app, Indeed Flex allows job seekers to locate short- and long-term employment opportunities quickly. Meanwhile, employers have rapid access to a high-quality, verified workforce and flexible staffing options.

September 14 marks the launch of Indeed Flex in California, allowing job seekers to look for positions in the manufacturing, office support, retail, leisure, and facilities management industries.

To find new ways to enhance the hiring process, Staffmark Group and Indeed Flex, both components of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., have been working together over the past few months.

The two businesses will collaborate in California to bring job seekers and employers onto the Indeed Flex app.

Bringing Opportunities for Californians

Indeed Flex’s expansion in California is a sign of hope for workers and job seekers. Indeed Flex allows employers to hire temporary workers for their needs. It has been a great help for businesses that want to hire top talent.

It’s an excellent initiative for those who don’t want the costs of hiring full-time employees or the hassle of dealing with benefits and payroll issues.

Indeed Flex allows businesses to find the talent they didn’t have access to. It’s also an opportunity for employees to get jobs they otherwise wouldn’t have access to. This expansion into California is good news for both parties involved.

Wrap Up!

Indeed Flex is expanding its operations in California to enable more resources for job seekers and workers. More than 6,000 businesses and 50,000 job seekers have already signed up for Indeed Flex. Indeed Flex allows employers to hire temporary workers for their needs without the hassle of hiring full-time employees.
