CTR’s Hell’s Kitchen project has plans for job opportunities and co-locating battery factories in Imperial County. The Lithium Valley Commission has released a draft report that acknowledges concerns about the impact of lithium projects on the community and the environment.
Chino Valley Champion Celebrates 135 Years with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at the New Location
The Chino Valley Champion celebrated its 135th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location at 13617 12th St., Unit B. The Champion, founded by Richard Gird in 1887, is the oldest company in Chino and the first newspaper with the same name to publish in San Bernardino County. The publication has a combined full-run net circulation of 20,020 and is read by over 45,000 readers per week.

The organization has helped over 4,000 enterprises grow or maintain their operations by serving non-traditional clients. AmPac had a successful year in 2022. It was featured in Fortune Magazine for combating poverty through entrepreneurship.
California’s Critical Minerals back in Limelight: Termed as the Future of Supply Chain
California is rich in critical minerals such as rare earth elements, lithium, and cobalt, essential for producing renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and high-tech electronics. An event regarding Building the Supply Chain for Tomorrow was held on 18th January in Palm Springs. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) also participated in the event and outlined four main priorities for California’s critical minerals and supply chain opportunities.
Liberty Lane in Redlands Receives $23 Million to Build 80 Affordable Housing Units.
Liberty Lane, a project based in Redlands that supports veterans by providing them with safe housing, received more than $23 million in government financing. U.S. Representative Pete Aguilar states that 80 affordable housing units will be built at West Lugonia Avenue and Texas Street in Redlands. The funding comes from a $50 million initiative in San Bernardino County funded by the American Rescue Plan, which also formed the California Housing Accelerator program.
