The City of Menifee in Riverside County wants to maintain long-term, high-quality services that cater to the needs of its community. It is the 7th largest growing city in Southern California and is the center of 61,000 students enrolled in a four-year graduate degree program. Menifee has a General Plan 2030 vision, implementing the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) – targeting industries for growth potential.
The city has partnered with C.W. Driver Companies to help boost the educational sector; the construction firm announced a welcome development in the Inland Empire, Elementary School #15, a $54.5M project for the Menifee Union School District. The campus will set new standards with an area of 46 acres, spreading across 75,000-square-foot. The school will open in July 2024 with an estimated student capacity of 600.
What is the Menifee School District Project?
Menifee has a diverse population of students. Combining the vast population with the available land, Menifee becomes an ideal hub, opening possibilities for partnerships between technology and educational institutions to produce a highly qualified and diverse workforce.
“This is the second school we’ve worked on for Menifee Union, with Menifee Valley Middle School being the first. In that instance, it was an expansion of an existing campus while this is a completely new build from the ground up.”
Andy Feth, C.W. Driver project executive
The construction will consist of 23 classrooms, a kindergarten and admin building, a library, and a multipurpose room described in the horseshoe configuration model. The school will also include a state-of-the-art audio-visual system designed by the DLR Group. There will also be student pick-up and drop-off areas to help with transportation within the campus.
