The Annual CSUSB Innovation Challenge will take place at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), on May 5th, 2022, between 5 pm to 8 pm PDT. The competition allows everyone at CSUSB to collaborate, develop new ideas, and solve challenges.

In the Annual CSUSB Innovation Challenge, finalists will present their business concepts and compete for a prize pool of $20,000. Join here to see the nerve-wracking final minutes!
Start forming your team and developing your attack plan! Submit your INTENT TO COMPETE for entry, join a team, interact and network in their Facebook group, and start forming your dream team!
There are three categories in which you can compete:
- Undergraduate student;
- Graduate student;
- Faculty/Staff.
Teams selected to compete in the main event must create and submit a 5 to 6-minute video presentation and have up to four team members present for a LIVE Q&A session with the judging panel on May 5th from 4 to 8 pm.
In preparation for the presentation, teams will get coaching and support from the Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

Deadline: April 10th.
After the April 10th entry deadline, the teams invited to compete in the main event line-up will be contacted. The Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Steve Abbott, will call selected teams to prepare for the task!
Requirements for Teams
Each participating team must have a CSUSB student as a qualifying team member and a minimum of TWO distinct colleges and divisions. After that, teammates can be CSUSB students, professors, staff, or alumni. If you need help locating team members, please get in touch with them directly, and the management will assist you in forming your team. Before submitting your INTENT TO COMPETE for official entry, you do not need to have your team members secure.
Team Formation Criteria:
Please note the following criteria:
- A current CSUSB student team member from an alternate college, department, or division is required for all categories of teams.
- Faculty and staff are not permitted to speak at the Undergraduate or Graduate level. However, they may serve on the advisory panel.
- The team lead’s current CSUSB status must be compatible with the category for which they submit an online “INTENT TO COMPETE” form. If you are a current CSUSB graduate student, you must submit your “INTENT TO COMPETE” idea(s) in the “Graduate” category.
