Riverside County Innovation Month is an annual celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity held in April. Organizations throughout the County host several events. The Innovation Month will showcase the region’s innovators from 1st April to 30th April. 

The events occurring during Innovation Month are an excellent way for entrepreneurs to meet potential investors, partners, and customers and learn about new tips and tools for success.

The Riverside County Innovation Month – April

Riverside County Innovation Month is a celebration of the innovation ecosystem in Riverside County. The month is designed to engage entrepreneurs, innovators, students, educators, makers, investors, and owners. Innovation Month aims to inspire the community to participate in the local innovation economy.

The initiative is spearheaded by the Riverside County Economic Development Agency (EDA) and aligned with Governor Gavin Newsom’s Innovation Month. The EDA leads economic development activities for Riverside County and its 28 cities. Its mission is to create jobs, improve quality of life and stimulate economic activity through innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization throughout Riverside County.

Events

Following organizations participate in Innovation Month to raise awareness of the County’s many areas of innovation and entrepreneurship:

• The County of Riverside Business & Community Services
• The University of California, Riverside
• The Riverside Community College District

Riverside County cities, including Corona, Norco, Eastvale, and Jurupa Valley, are also a part of this month, including several other educational institutions and private businesses.

The month will feature events that highlight areas of innovation taking place within Riverside County, such as:

• Manufacturing & Logistics

• Clean Technology & Energy

• Healthcare & Bioscience

• Agriculture & Food

• Arts & Culture

• Education & Workforce Development

• Technology & Entrepreneurship

Participation in the Innovation Month

Riverside County welcomes anyone that holds an immense love for supporting entrepreneurship. Be it a city, organization, or tribal government. If you’re one of these and love entrepreneurship and innovation, Riverside County will welcome you to participate in Innovation Month. 

The County even provides ideas to businesses that want to showcase their innovations. Here’s how one can promote innovation during the month:

• In your neighborhood, host a virtual networking event. Perhaps at a restaurant, a craft brewery, or another entertaining establishment.

• Host a virtual Open House and tour your firm to show off your excellent work.

• Give students a virtual tour of your workplace and teaching area to help them prepare.
