Instant ON is an energy as a service provider based out of the Inland Empire. It provides micro-grids, nano-grids, smart panels, distributed energy resource systems, and energy backup systems.
Before COVID-19 triggered a country-wide shutdown, the startup had secured a contract to build nano-grids for 1 Million Veteran homes.
Other products that it provides include IO fuel cells and provide energy resiliency by eliminating the need to depend on utility companies. “In the face of blackouts, fires, and other natural disasters, customers experience first-hand the need to decouple their reliance on utility companies, to protect against outages, and to ensure resiliency for homes and businesses. Traditional backup generators have been described as a dirtier, less safe, and expensive solution. Solar, even if paired with batteries, does not guarantee protection. Microgrid energy systems which utilize Fuel Cells provide reliable resiliency“.
Partnership with Schneider Electric
Instant ON shared that the startup has struck a partnership deal with industry leader Schneider Electric.
IO Hub Platform
One of the startup’s products is the IO-HUB platform visibility and control of the energy consumption at customer premises for their smart grid systems. This IO-HUB manages the entire electricity network down to each single circuit in the premises and enables suppliers and consumers to share the benefits of reduced energy consumption.
A few weeks ago we also reported about the Southern California Energy Innovation Network (SCEIN) ghzg is a free program for startups that are developing solutions to help California meet its energy goals. It was setup through a grant from the California Energy Commission awarded in 2016.
“The network provides access to the resources and facilities of regional partner organizations and connections with industry to help energy innovation startups and emerging technologies to accelerate their commercialization.
