If there’s one place in Riverside, California, that carries an innovative and futuristic aura, it’s the Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center. It has all the modern gadgets and technology that transports you 20 years ahead of today. 3-D printers, It has a sound room, a film-production room, a computer lab, and a lounge equipped with six televisions ready to stream games. It is one of Inland Empire’s Startup and Business Incubators.
Today, we have this treasure in riverside that facilitates team working together on projects on a variety of STEM, And really we should call it STEAM because it inclues the arts too!

The Bourns Youth Innovation Center is at 9595 Miller Street, Riverside, CA. Check the map for more details.
The center is named after the Bourns family, which donated $1 million for construction. The Youth Innovation Center (YIC) is the City of Riverside’s newest community center. It offers free and fee-based services to startups in computer science, robotics, engineering, arts, electronics, and technology.

CREATE — Computers, Robotics, Engineering, Art, Technology, and Electronics
The motto of Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center is CREATE, which stands for Computers, Robotics, Engineering, Art, and Technology. The center offers robotics, programming, coding, and web design lessons.
About half of the classes are free. For Riverside residents, annual memberships cost $25 for adults and $15 for children 18 and under. For non-Riverside residents, the price is $37.50 for adults and $22.50 for children.
The innovation center invited children to visit the facility at the end of last year. Students can tour the new Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center while learning to develop a website with multiple pages.
The innovation center provides opportunities to visitors by introducing them to professionals and services that will promote and enhance learning to increase the likelihood of life-long success. The focus is to prepare students and young ones for success by providing a safe environment that fosters collaboration, learning, and creativity.
