In this episode of The Startempire Wire Founder’s Podcast I sit down with The City of Wildomar’s Economic Development Director Kimberly Davidson. We discuss Kimberly’s journey through entrepreneurship in marketing to her current position. We also talk about where The City of Wildomar currently is in the growth process with current goals and needs.

Kimberly Davidson is the Economic Development Director for the City of Wildomar where she is responsible for business attraction, business retention and business growth. Prior to Wildomar, Kimberly was the Economic Development Manager for the City of Corona (2016-2019) and the Business Development Manager for the City of Murrieta (2008-2016).

Among many notable awards for promoting business in the Temecula Valley, Kimberly was awarded “Woman of the Year” in 2016 for the 67th District by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez. Kimberly was also named “Citizen of the Year” in 2014 by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce, received a “Power to the People” award by Assemblywoman Melendez in 2014 and was recognized by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce as one of the “40 Under 40 Movers and Shakers in the Valley” in 2013. Kimberly was a national award recipient in 2008 for the “Home-Based Business Champion of the Year” from the U.S. Small Business Administration for unfaltering passion to help home-based businesses in the Temecula Valley.

Kimberly has held many board positions over the years including Angels at Work, Find Me Foundation and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-IE). She is a strong supporter of the Murrieta-Wildomar Chamber of Commerce.

Kimberly holds a BA in Journalism from California State University Northridge as well as a leadership certificate from California State University San Marcos. She resides near Wildomar with her two daughters.
