On Nov 15, 2022, the Inland Empire chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals gave Lucas Oil the’ Business of the Year award. It recognizes the philanthropic contributions of Lucas Oil to the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California.

2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship

Lucas Oil also conducts a motocross championship every year, reflecting the company’s interest and bonding with the communities it serves.

According to the motorsports enthusiast website Ultimate Motorcycling, with just one point difference, Eli Tomac won the 2022 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross National Championship Series, Tomac rose to the occasion, going 1-1 in the Fox Raceway II National to win his fourth 450MX National title.

An Oil Business Empire by Forrest Lucas

Forrest Lucas, 70, founded Lucas Oil along with wide Charlotte in 1989. The husband-wife duo’s company sponsored the Indianapolis Colts Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the 2012 Super Bowl). However, the entrepreneurial journey of Forrest Lucas is unusual per usual standards. He started as a long-haul trucker, founded his oil-products company, and became a race team sponsor.

On the February 27, 2012, issue of Fortune magazine, Forrest opened up about his rags-to-riches journey. However, his journey was determined by hard work, ingenuity, and a desire to innovate and transform the business into a sustainable entity.
