Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that affects communication, behavior, and social interactions. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately one in 54 children in the United States is diagnosed with ASD. While the prevalence of autism is high, awareness and acceptance of autism still have a long way to go.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, the Autism Society Inland Empire, in partnership with the Genesis Inspiration Foundation, hosted the Color the Spectrum Autism Art Festival on April 2nd, 2023. It was a free, family-friendly event for the autism and intellectual/developmental disability community. This event aims to celebrate autism awareness and acceptance while highlighting the artistic talents of individuals on the autism spectrum.
