Caravanserai Project
The Caravanserai Project is a hybrid social impact company that seeks to find, motivate, and inspire mission-driven leaders, whether newbies or experts. They aim to help clients with for-profit and nonprofit initiatives establish sustainable, relevant, future-ready, and system-change ventures.
The caravanserai’s historical significance inspires the venture. Caravanserais were well-known meeting spots along trade routes from Asia, North Africa, and Southeast Europe. They gave merchants and travelers a place to relax and swap and trade products and information about the obstacles ahead and the state of the territories they were about to transit.

What’s Caravanserai Project’s SEED Lab?
Caravanserai Project’s SEED Lab is an eight-month pre-accelerator for early-stage social entrepreneurs. It aims to tap the deep reservoir of unrecognized talent within historically marginalized and under-served communities and support their efforts to identify and develop pioneering paths out of inherited problems that have buried and silenced those voices. It was developed in collaboration with the University of California Riverside Extension.

Caravanserai Project: Supported Thirteen Dedicated Entrepreneurs
Caravanserai Project is always looking for committed and devoted entrepreneurs to help them succeed. Last year, Startempire reported that Caravanserai Project invests in empowering thirteen emerging mission-driven entrepreneurs who join the 2021-2022 SEED Lab Pre-accelerator to advance bold solutions.
“The 2021-2022 SEED Lab Fellows represent the talent and innovative thinking in the Inland Empire, the region targeted by the program since its launch in 2018. As the only mission-driven pre-accelerator in the area, we are honored to support innovators often left out of mainstream programs who use their unique personal backgrounds and professional experiences to develop solutions for their communities’ problems.”

Caravanserai Project: A New Step to Support Entrepreneurs
Due to its constant efforts to smoothen the way to success for entrepreneurs, the Caravanserai project also received a grant from Dream Fund Program to help young entrepreneurs start their businesses.
In February 2022, Startempire Wire reported that Senate Bill No. 151 (Government Code Section 12100.63) established the California Dream Fund Grant Program (CDFG or Dream Fund) in 2021 to provide micro-grants of up to $10,000 to seed entrepreneurship and small business creation in underprivileged small biz groups that are facing capital and disparities.
